Living without a car could be though, but there are always different ways to survive without a car. Many people don’t have a car but they live a comfortable life. In addition, there are several ways to live without a car.
First, before relocating it might be important to do some research on the city or neighborhood you are planning to move to. In addition, there are some parts of the country where it could be impossible to live without a car. However there are other places where it is possible. Furthermore make sure the place has all the necessary things. For example a grocery store, some public transportation, security and other important things.
Second, take advantage of public transportation. Use the train, busses and tax or buy a bicycle or a motorcycle. Sometimes driving car a can be boring, lonely and a waste of time. Using public transportation will save you money from fixing, buying gas and paying for car insurance and it save us time and we feels more secured from dangerous car accident. For many people, using public transportation is beneficial in their life. Taking the bus and the train gives them the opportunity to do certain thing that they couldn’t do while driving. Many people take a nap, read books, eat, relax and meet people from all different nationalities. Public transportation gives people the opportunity to explore different places in the country.
Third, find a walkable neighborhood and find a job close to your area. Look for the right neighborhood which has higher security in case of emergency. Also find a neighborhood where you could walk or take public transportation, in case of going late on important program. Finding the right neighborhood is beneficial to you and your family to live a happy and confortable life.
Many people have to drive car a based on the nature of their jobs, and some people don’t live in areas with a lot of public transportation. However, many Americans do live in midsized or large cities with decent transit, and these are the people who should consider going car free.
